The Association is acting as Development Agents for the demolition of the former Broadford House and rebuilding of Strath House comprising 11 flats for affordable rent which are due for completion in late Summer 2017.
Also, in Portree, the Association is well under way with the construction of 11 affordable rented homes at Home Farm, Phase 7. Works are due for completion in Summer 2017.
At Dornie, Phase 3 comprising six affordable rented houses has started and is due to complete in late summer.
We have received planning consent for 24 affordable rented homes at Phase 3, Campbell's Farm, Broadford, and work is due to commence in March 2017 and is scheduled to complete 18 months thereafter.
At Main Street, Kyle of Lochalsh, the corner shop has been demolished and plans are being finalised to commence work on the new building this summer.
We are currently pursuing land banking opportunities at sites at Caberfeidh, Broadford, and at Struan Road, Portree, for affordable housing.
Finally, we are working in partnership with the Highland Small Communities Housing Trust and Staffin Community Trust to deliver affordable housing in Staffin. A planning application will be submitted in Spring 2017 to The Highland Council for consideration.
